'The Botanist's Pipe' fabricates the story of a lesbian gardner, Helen B. Gyger and her lover Lily M. Coleman. Their story begins in the lost natural world of Niagara and is told through their love letters, memorials, and photos. Lily's collages form the spine of the story, narrating their long separation and ultimate reunion.
